about_us_pictopup_opt (1)Melody Young began her music training at home, where music was a focal point in her upbringing. At the age of eight, after having already learned to read music and play simple Bach Minuets, Melody started taking formal piano lessons. She began her Suzuki Teacher Training in 1980 and worked as a teacher and private tutor for Challenger Schools. Melody later received her Bachelor of Music Degree (in Music Therapy) from the UOP Conservatory of Music in 2004. Melody teaches piano, guitar, and voice. As a music therapist, she specializes in working with children with special needs. Melody is also a graphic artist, an avid gardener, mother of six wonderful children and 15 darling grandchildren.
